Job Description
The Software Engineer Senior is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining technology solutions for a web application that is both external and internal facing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain technology solutions and ensure solutions meet business requirements
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve innovative, business-results driven technology solutions
- Regularly provide feedback and recommendations to further enhance the technology solutions as well as the user experience.
- Continuously improve and troubleshoot existing systems, ensuring seamless performance and support.
- Ensure reliable code by conducting rigorous testing and enforcing code standards.
- Thoroughly document solutions, contacts, and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- 5 years of experience with application development or packaged software implementations
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

- Extensive experience with React.js

- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
- Ability to transition abstract concepts into stable and supportable software solutions
- Ability to develop unbiased options and recommendations to technical problems and unbiased comparisons

- Excellent documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
- Previous experience working an in Agile/Product Delivery model
- Previous experience with the following technologies: Node.js, BigQuery, CloudSQL, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Dynatrace
- Previous experience in front end design ensuring solutions will be easily understandable by end users
- Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and shifts outside of Prime’s core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as needed for technical support and/or project needs
- Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
- Reports to a Principal in the Enterprise Analytics department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $87,200.00 - $139,400.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
