The Role

BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the evolution of SaaS products within our cloud offering. You will be a part of the Platform Infrastructure team that will design, develop, deliver, and maintain a reliable microservices-based cloud software solution utilizing modern orchestration technologies. This is a unique opportunity to lead the engineering organization in the areas of the standardization of automated infrastructure, service provisioning, and orchestration.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain a platform for engineering teams to utilize automated, self-service, scalable, efficient, observable, and reliable infrastructure services as a product.
• Deliver long-term technical solutions and cross-team mechanisms to achieve reliability goals.
• Provide expert technical guidance and feedback during engineering design reviews to teams onboarding onto Platform Infrastructure using observability tools.
• Deliver common, reusable tools, capabilities, and interfaces to the cloud platform solution.
• Collaborate with other SREs and engineers across engineering organizations on best practices.
• Align and help drive execution of the Platform Infrastructure team’s strategy.
• Reduce toil (automate, automate, and automate some more).

What You’ll Bring

• Expertise in architecting and developing microservices and cloud native solutions
• Experience with Kubernetes apps running in a Kubernetes infrastructure
• Hands on experience with Automation testing utilizing Golang.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery strategies (for example, ArgoCD, Github Actions)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.)
• Experience working with AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure public cloud providers. Familiar with cloud resources such as AWS S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, etc. 
• Proven track record of leading cross-team projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity while driving technical direction.
• Familiar with modern test strategies in a cloud environment.
