In this role you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Appium/Selenium with strong engineering practices (modular, reusable, maintainable code)• Contribute to both feature development (where needed) and test automation, bridging the gap between development and QA• Drive automation strategy with a focus on engineering quality into the product, not just increasing test coverage• Build and own end-to-end automation solutions for critical user journeys with high reliability and low flakiness• Integrate automation deeply into CI/CD pipelines, enabling fast feedback and continuous validation for every release• Apply AI-driven techniques (OCR, smart locators, self-healing scripts) to solve complex automation challenges in dynamic mobile environments• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability, scalability, and robustness of the product• Identify gaps in architecture or implementation that impact quality and proactively suggest improvements• Perform targeted exploratory and functional testing with a strong focus on real-world scenarios (devices, networks, edge cases)• Take ownership of release quality, combining automation, manual validation, and risk-based testing approaches• Mentor team members on engineering best practices in testing, including coding standards, framework design, and debugging techniques• Drive a quality-first engineering culture, where testing is embedded early and continuously in the development lifecycle
Who are you? You are a fast learner and are comfortable working with little direction. You take initiative and bring up ideas. In addition you have the following:• 5 to 8 years of experience in software engineering and testing, with strong exposure to mobile applications (iOS and Android)• Solid programming experience in Java (preferred), or C# / .NET / JavaScript, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable codebases• Proven experience in applying engineering principles to testing (clean code, design patterns, modular architecture)• Experience working with development and build tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Gradle, JMeter, Git, and SQL• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
• Very good knowledge in building test automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
• Experience in AI-driven development and/or test automation• Deep understanding of mobile system behaviour, including performance, device constraints, and real-world usage conditions
