Genesis Consulting has an upcoming opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking SAP OCM Lead with a passion for growth and business transformation. We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior SAP Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead with Federal Experience on an SAP Implementation Project to join our team, working closely with a Federal Government Client. As the Senior SAP OCM Lead, you will be responsible for leading the organizational change management efforts associated with SAP implementations within the federal government sector. This critical role requires a deep understanding of change management principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive successful adoption and utilization of SAP solutions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy and plan that aligns with the federal government's SAP implementation project. Define change management objectives, activities, and timelines to ensure successful user adoption and integration of SAP solutions.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of federal government processes, regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements relevant to SAP implementations. Apply change management principles within the federal government context to facilitate smooth transitions and compliance.
  • Identify and analyze key stakeholders, both internal and external to the Federal Government Client, who will be impacted by the SAP implementation. Develop tailored communication and engagement plans to ensure stakeholders are informed, engaged, and supportive throughout the change process.
  • Assess the impact of SAP implementations on business processes, job roles, and organizational structures. Identify potential risks, challenges, and resistance to change. Develop mitigation strategies and change management interventions to address identified impacts and risks.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to effectively disseminate information about the SAP implementation, its benefits, and the change process. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to equip users with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively use SAP solutions.
  • Develop strategies to measure and assess the readiness of users for change. Monitor and track the adoption and utilization of SAP solutions, identifying areas of resistance or gaps in user engagement. Develop and implement interventions to promote user acceptance and adoption.
  • Identify and engage change champions within the organization to support the change process. Build a network of influencers and advocates who can drive and reinforce the desired changes. Provide guidance and support to change champions in their roles.
  • Establish change management governance structures, such as steering committees or change management boards, to oversee and guide the change management process. Ensure alignment between the project team, stakeholders, and change management activities.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of change management efforts. Collect and analyze data to evaluate the impact of change management interventions and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, trends, and innovations in change management. Identify opportunities to enhance change management methodologies, tools, and approaches for future SAP implementations within the federal government.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) as an Organizational Change Management Lead in SAP implementation projects, specifically within the Federal Government domain, at a Federal Client. DOD or DHS experience is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of federal government regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements related to SAP S/4HANA implementations.
  • Proven experience in leading change management efforts in large-scale SAP projects, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and government officials.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess change impacts, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.

 

Minimum Education: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Required Certifications: 
  • Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is highly desirable.
  • Certification is Agile Methodology or SAFe is preferred.
Other: 
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must have Active DoD Secret clearance or Ability to Obtain it
  • Willingness to work on-site and remotely in the DC/MD/VA area
