What Product and Solutions Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health
Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing and monitoring the appropriate products and services.
Product & Solutions Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.
Responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market. Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning and executes on findings.
- Translates medical device reprocessing market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business.
- Support and launch commercial tactics such as collateral development, content management, and tradeshow planning.
- Help manage and enact tactics to increase used medical device collections for reprocessing.
- Assist in managing Sustainable Technologies business, including product pricing, promotions, sales enablement, demand planning, and competitive positioning of key features.
- Analyze the competitive environment for medical device reprocessing market and help define and execute strategies and tactics for success based on market dynamics.
- Support local and GPO pricing strategy and RFPs.
- Interface with sales organization to support pricing and contract discussions and negotiations and product inquiries/issues with customers. Work with customers directly through quarterly field rides, Voice of Customer research, advisory council events, and trade shows.
- Demonstrate proficient financial acumen and P&L management.
- Provide insights on state of US market and collaborate on strategic initiatives with adjacent marketers, including Global Portfolio Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, preferred
- 2-4 years of experience preferred
- Basic understanding of medical device reprocessing preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20%

Anticipated salary range: $67,500 - $96,400
** The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
