The Team & Role
The Product Organization team defines and implements the product vision, strategy and roadmap across Zuora’s CPQ, Billing, Revenue and Platform suite. The team is made up of Product Managers, Product Strategists, Product Designers, Product Researchers and Functional Architects to drive the product direction, customer experience, pricing and packaging. The team works closely with many parts of the organization, from Sales to Marketing, Global Services, Finance, and more.
The Product Management team at Zuora are in the frontlines, intimately working with Zuora customers and users to identify product opportunities, functional requirements and business processes. Product Managers translate this data into product strategy, roadmap and detailed requirements that are hyper focused on business impact and customer value. Product Managers evangelize with internal and external stakeholders for buy-in and partner with engineering to bring their product to life. Additionally, Product Managers will ensure success of their product by working with their Product Marketing counterparts to drive pricing strategy, product positioning, promotional planning, product launches and product adoption strategies.
Role
To be successful in this role, you need to demonstrate a sincere passion for building complex products that customers love in the Enterprise Accounts Receivable Subledger Space. On the Zuora product team:

- We are deeply involved in driving product design, from both an API and UI/UX perspective.
- We strive for customer intimacy and meet with our customers regularly to review user experience and design to ensure we are meeting customers’ needs and solving customer problems.
- We deliver mission critical solutions, so we have to think about scale, performance, compatibility and extensive downstream impacts.
- We lead product innovation from initial strategy through delivery and customer adoption.
What You’ll Achieve
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Zuora’s CPQ, Billing and Accounting Product Lines.
- Be the product domain expert, understand the market and customer needs and competition.
- Own and execute products that deliver ongoing customer value to the CFO’s office.
- Own end-to-end feature delivery, including working with user experience on prototypes, authoring functional requirements and functional specification documents, creating and prioritizing user stories, analyzing user data to drive decision making and documenting delivery of quarterly releases.
- Work on the detailed use cases and come up with solutions to address the Customers’ needs.
- Track tickets related to the critical new enhancement requests or bugs and work with the Engineering and Support Teams to find the fix.
- Own the Product Roadmap and drive the release planning and delivery efforts.
- Develop competitive expertise to assist in outbound product positioning and inform internal development priorities.
- Assist product marketing with core positioning and messaging for the product.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Leadership through influence rather than organization structures. Proven ability to motivate, lead, and collaborate with cross-functional product development teams and manage interactions across product areas.
- 8+ years of relevant, hands-on product management experience and demonstrated success bringing products to market at leading enterprise software SaaS companies.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Order to Cash (CPQ, Billing, Accounts Receivables, Revenue) and integration solutions.
- Capable of portraying leadership and domain expertise in billing and accounts receivable to guide product decisions.
- Experience with ERP Account Receivables module is a must, preferably worked with Oracle, Netsuite, Workday or SAP.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledgeable in Subscription billing concepts a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex business data and customer use cases.
- Experience applying AI/ML concepts to enterprise software applications.
- Solid understanding of relevant technology and tools including APIs, cloud solutions and programming languages and how SaaS integrations work.
- Strong product design skills, from both a technical API and user interface design perspective.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies and initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making approach, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving continuous improvement in product offerings and market positioning.
- Travel needs: potential for up to 30% for customer & teams meetings
*This is a remote position, you’ll be working remotely while occasionally getting together with your team for office visits, events, or offsites. Of course, you’re welcome to come into the office more often if you’re nearby.

The base pay details represent the annualized salary range for the posted position. While we share a comprehensive range, a candidate’s final base salary will fall within these guidelines and will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to: qualifications of the candidate, job related knowledge, prior related experience, specific and unique skills, the location of the role, internal equity and internal budget.
