Position Summary

The Head of Video Innovation Product Management will lead the development and commercialization of innovative video conferencing solutions, with a core focus on new product development through close collaboration with JDM (Joint Design Manufacturer) partners. This role requires deep technical expertise in networking, audio/video protocols, and certification processes, alongside strong leadership in product strategy and execution.

In this role, you will guide the video product portfolio, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of IP, Dante, and networking fundamentals to create robust and scalable solutions. Furthermore, you will ensure that all products meet the rigorous certification standards of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google, while driving business growth and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development (NPD): Lead the full lifecycle of product development for video solutions, ensuring seamless execution from concept through launch, with a focus on IP, networking, and certification standards.

JDM Partner Management: Collaborate closely with JDM partners to co-develop video conferencing solutions, ensuring that technical requirements and commercial goals are met.

Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute a product roadmap that aligns with market needs, ensuring that all products are optimized for network performance, scalability, and certification compliance.

Networking & Technical Leadership: Provide deep expertise in IP, Dante, and networking fundamentals, ensuring that video products are robust, interoperable, and meet customer expectations for high performance.

Certification & Compliance: Lead product certification processes for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, ensuring timely approvals and adherence to platform-specific standards and protocols.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams such as engineering, operations, and supply chain to synchronize product development with JDM capabilities, ensuring on-time, cost-effective product launches.

Market & Customer Insight: Conduct market research and customer insights analysis to guide product design, ensuring products address both current and future customer needs.

Commercialization & Product P&L: Own the product P&L, ensuring the video portfolio meets financial targets, while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing product management team, fostering innovation and driving accountability within the team.

Quality & Cost Optimization: Work closely with JDMs to ensure that products meet high quality standards while also achieving cost efficiencies.

Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time-to-market, product quality, certification success rates, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

Product Development Expertise: 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on new product development in video conferencing, unified communications, or adjacent technologies.

Networking & IP Expertise: Deep knowledge of IP, Dante, and networking fundamentals, with the ability to lead teams in developing high-performance, scalable video solutions.

Certification Experience: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the certification processes for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, ensuring that products meet all relevant standards and protocols.

JDM Partner Collaboration: Proven track record of working with JDM partners, balancing cost, quality, and time-to-market objectives.

Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage product P&L and drive the commercialization of products that meet market needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to bring products from concept to market.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, solve technical challenges, and deliver innovative solutions.

Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a global technology company or managing hardware product portfolios.

• Familiarity with video AI, machine learning, and cloud-based video technologies.

• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

Pay Transparency Notice:

The target annual base salary for this position can range from $163,000.00 to $275,000.00. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.

Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
