Job Description:

We are seeking a curious, talented Sr. Product Designer to join our team. This senior individual contributor role collaborates closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Engineering, Data, and Architecture to define, drive and deliver intuitive, scalable end-to-end product and platform experiences.

This designer brings a strong level of craft, systems thinking, and collaborative influence by delivering solutions that create measurable business impact. This designer will also be a critical part in defining agentic layers and experiences across Johnson & Johnson products and services.

This role will initially be based in New Brunswick NJ or Raritan NJ. The position follows J&J Flex, Johnson & Johnson’s hybrid working model for eligible office-based employees, with a minimum of three days on-site each week and the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week, based on business needs. This role is not eligible for fully remote work and candidates outside a 75-mile commuting distance who are unable to relocate will not be considered.

You will:

  • Directly lead shaping of product experience activities for complex digital products and services, from problem framing through detailed prototyping and iterative releases

  • Plan and lead user research and usability testing to translate findings into tangible assets

  • Use data to create synthesized materials including (but not limited to) clear problem statements, input for product strategy, service blueprints, and design recommendations

  • Establish and contribute to design standards and reusable patterns to enhance consistency within the product experience team

  • Lead through ambiguity by using data to clarify problems to be solved and identify opportunities for continuous product improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in product design or adjacent field

  • 5+ years of experience in user experience, digital product design or related field

  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work, strong interaction and visual craft, use of AI tools, and clear evidence of impact

  • Proficiency in Figma and agile product development practices

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain decision making to business partners

  • Experience working on cross-functional product teams and influencing decisions without direct authority.

  • Experience using journey mapping, service blueprinting, or related service design methods to understand and improve complex end-to-end experiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex workflows and translate ambiguous business challenges into actionable design solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for healthcare, complex workflows or other regulated environments

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled or emerging technology experiences

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$109,000.00 - $174,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
• Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
• Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
