The role of Sr Procurement Operations Lead acts as a business partner for Procurement leadership for Aurangabad Manufacturing plant located at the Goodyear Technology Centre, Hyderabad to interpret requirements and deploy resources at the local level to deliver and meet business needs and Procurement financial goals. Serves as the collaborative connection amongst local procurement operations, plant Manufacturing team, Global strategic sourcing and Global shared services to ensure strategic, operational, and transactional activity is delivered to meet business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leads plant procurement function, and oversees procurement activities related to plant operations..
- Procurement to include Energy/Utilities, MRO (Engineering spares, Operating supplies), Manufacturing Services, Professional ServicesCapital goods, and waste management.
- Executes sourcing strategies ensuring consistency with Global Indirect category strategies for all Categories for Aurangabad plant.
- Develop negotiation strategy for local negotiations across Aurangabad plant and actively lead the local contract negotiations as required based on criticality or complexity and deliver Savings for the plant
- Ensures appropriate and effective communication occurring at all organizational levels
- Develops relationships with local and regional suppliers to support business needs and the overall Global Procurement supplier segmentation strategy.
- Drive the overall efficiency of the Procurement Operations Savings projects for all Indirect categories for Aurangabad.
Experience & Knowledge required:
- Must be an Engineering Graduate.
- 14+ years of Procurement experience in large scale / multinational / multigeography organization in Indirect Procurement (MRO,Utilities, Capex and Services).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Team Management.
- Strong understanding of Strategic sourcing / Category Management (All Indirect Categories) and Procurement Operations Role
- Strong change management experience. Demonstrated cross functional project leadership experience.
- Experience in a related industry preferred (tire industry).
- Proficient in negotiation abilities, application of strategic sourcing process, Project Management, Change Management, Excellent communication skills (technical, non-technical), Proficient in interpreting and analyzing financial statements.
- Excellent in English and local languages, strong in financial / statistical analysis, organization skills, Microsoft Excel skills, collaborative facilitation and influence skills, self directing, and has ability to work in a very fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Position should be well acquainted with the knowledge of procurement systems and policies, SAP (SRM) and expert in MS Office.
- Position to be equipped with the knowledge of importing Spares and other materials
