Sr. Principal Professional Services Consultant(Automotive)

The Principal Professional Services Consultant, reporting to the EMEA Director of Professional Services Automotive, serves as a customer-facing solution lead, responsible for the design and implementation of location intelligence solutions leveraging HERE products and services. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with client engagement, requiring previous experience in the Automotive industry and in geospatial technology implementation. The consultant will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs, design tailored solutions, and lead the project lifecycle from concept through to successful delivery. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Automotive industry segment, which can generate HERE Products pull through (location-based services, geospatial data, automotive navigation and ADAS). 

• Analyze customer problem statements and project requirements. 

• Establish Statement of Work with customers, coordinating pricing and legal approvals with legal and sales. 

• Coordinate internal stakeholders to drive the design, development, and test of the technical solution based on the requirement analysis 

• Manage the scope of work through solid project management best practices 

• Generate project artifacts including architecture diagrams, flow charts, specification document, release notes 

• Participate in peer code review and other internal technical review processes as required for each project 

• Act as a key liaison with Solution Architects, Solution Engineers and Product teams for the technical aspects of the delivery 

• Manage the transition of the initial delivery to the support team responsible for maintenance & support of the solution 

• Support and work closely with the customer, Delivery/ Engagement Managers, fellow Delivery Engineers, Partners and external consultants to successfully implement project deliverables 

• Assist in identifying recurring requirements, and opportunities to expand. 

• Stay updated on trends in business and technology development in the automotive industry. 

• 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on infotainment systems, navigation technologies, and driver assistance systems (ADAS).
• Proven ability to lead the design, development, and delivery of location-based solutions, including navigation SDKs, geospatial platforms, or LBS APIs
• Proven expertise in translating complex customer needs into scalable, production-grade architectures — with hands-on leadership in pre-sales activities, solution shaping, and authoring high-impact technical proposals
• Background in software engineering (design and coding) and system integration, with knowledge of embedded systems, cloud components, and automotive compliance standards (e.g., ASPICE).
• Demonstrated success leading client-facing technical projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring successful solution delivery across diverse teams.

• Proven experience in business development within the automotive domain.
