As a Senior People Business Partner at Applied, you will develop and deliver integrated talent solutions to continuously improve business results. In this new role, you will partner with senior leadership across multiple functions as we implement new ways of working to improve outcomes with customers.
What You'll Do
- Build for the Long Term : Engage executive leaders to design team structures , hiring plans, and succession plans to continuously improve organizational effectiveness
- Enable Change: Support leaders in moments of change by building comprehensive plans to confirm and communicate what is changing, why, and the expected outcomes; provide clarity in areas of ambiguity and proactively support engagement during times of change
- Insist on the Highest Standards: Continuously improve our standard practices for each of the moments that matter - hiring and onboarding to goal planning, performance enablement, and career development; identify issues impacting team success to identify and address root causes
- Own the Outcome: Define success metrics and guide people leaders to build and maintain our performance culture with emphasis on accelerated learning and growth ; partner with business leaders and our people team to assess outcomes and refine plans accordingly
- Think Big: Influence key initiatives and drive initiatives from planning to execution in partnership with business leaders and experts across the People Team ; rapidly identify connections across functional teams to adjust course when needed
- Invent and Simplify: Proactively remove barriers and simple processes focused on what matters most ; automate repeatable processes; influence internal practices by sharing insights and recommendations with global people business partners and Centers of Excellence (e.g., People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations)
- Build for Scale: Design durable, reusable resources ; embed AI -fi rst practices into solutio n s when possible ; share practical tools to e xtend the impact from one to many
- Share Expertise : Provide knowledge of best practices in Canada and the United States to continuously drive enhancements to internal practices , especially when compliance requirements change or external conditions shift across the global landscape
- Lead Strategic Initi atives: Partner with business leadershi p and Peo ple Team to design , plan, and execu te new ini tiatives to achieve measurable results

P rior Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic human resources management, or similar role , with the prov en ability to influenc e across functional areas to improve business outcomes with executive leaders during moments of rapid growth and change
- Expert knowledge of human resource disciplines, including performance management, compensation, organizational development, employee relations, and talent acquisition
- Experience partnering with leaders acr oss functional areas to support organizational design , ideally in software as a service with a complex ecosystem of multip le product s , global teams, and matrix structures
- Deep knowledge of employment practices in Canada and the United States with experience addressing employee relations considerations across global locations ; ability to assess risks in complex scenarios and experience partnering with legal counsel to define plans when needed
- Demonstrated impac t on human resources initiatives during planning and execution phases; p ra ctical expe rience embedding AI and automation into the flow of work; experience buil ding , refini ng, and/or i mplementing AI agents to support lea ders and team me mbers
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in human resources, business administration, or a related field wi th supplemental c our sework or certification (s ) in areas of expertise (e.g ., hum an resourc es, emplo yee relations , organizati onal design ) - Why? The total anticipated annual compensation range for this position in Canada includes starting base salary and, where applicable, variable or incentive pay.
