This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting dedicated transportation operations for General Motors. We are seeking a highly organized Office Supervisor to oversee the daily administrative functions of the operation while supporting drivers, dispatch, customers, and operational leadership. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, customer communication, and overall office efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily office operations and administrative personnel
  • Ensure accurate completion of customer reports, operational documentation, payroll, billing, and driver records
  • Serve as a liaison between operations, drivers, customers, Human Resources, Payroll, and Corporate departments
  • Support daily transportation operations through reporting, data entry, scheduling, and issue resolution
  • Monitor attendance records, employee documentation, and personnel files
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and administrative support for new hires
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and DOT documentation standards
  • Track and report key operational metrics related to service, staffing, attendance, and performance
  • Support customer communication and help resolve service or administrative concerns
  • Ensure office records, files, and documentation are maintained accurately and confidentially
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and office efficiency
  • Assist leadership with audits, special projects, and operational reporting as needed
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to office staff
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in administrative, office management, logistics, transportation, or operations support roles
  • Previous experience supervising office staff preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience with payroll, reporting, data entry, or transportation documentation preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Skills Required
