Position Summary
The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to leaders across the Aetna Service Operations organization, helping translate business priorities into people strategies that drive performance, engagement, organizational effectiveness, and talent outcomes. This role partners closely with leaders and cross-functional HR teams to support workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, change leadership, colleague engagement, and performance management.
The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and practical execution, with the ability to advise leaders in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, values, and people practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across Aetna Service Operations to understand business priorities and develop people strategies that support operational goals
- Provide consultation and coaching to leaders on organizational effectiveness, team structure, talent planning, succession planning, and change management
- Support talent processes including performance management, development planning, engagement actions, and workforce planning
- Use workforce data and trends to identify opportunities, risks, and priorities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and other cross-functional teams to deliver scalable people solutions aligned to business needs
- Guide leaders through colleague-related matters with sound judgment, consistency, and alignment to company policies and practices
- Support organizational change efforts by helping leaders assess impact, communicate effectively, and drive adoption
- Strengthen leadership capability by coaching leaders on feedback, accountability, development, and team effectiveness
- Help create an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with CVS Health Values
- Drive follow-through on key HR and business initiatives while managing multiple priorities across the client group
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful HR business partner experience
- Experience supporting leaders in complex, matrixed, and fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and provide strategic HR consultation
- Experience with organizational design, talent planning, performance management, and change management
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes
- Strong communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform recommendations and decisions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting operational and front-line production teams
- Experience in a large, complex healthcare or regulated environment
- Experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce and organizational priorities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
