Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr Software Engineering Manager with expertise in Data Engineering, AI Engineering and AWS cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation in AI and data-driven projects. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, overseeing the development and deployment of complex AI solutions, and ensuring the successful integration of AI into our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

    • Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.

  • Project Oversight:

    • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.

    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

  • AWS Infrastructure Management:

    • Design, implement, and optimize AWS infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications.

    • Ensure the security and cost-effectiveness of cloud resources.

  • Data Engineering:

    • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to handle large volumes of data.

    • Ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility for various applications.

  • Large Language Models (LLMs) Integration:

    • Integrate LLMs for different use cases, ensuring they meet performance and accuracy requirements.

    • Stay updated with advancements in LLMs and apply best practices for their deployment.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliverables.

    • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for software development.

    • Implement testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the team competitive.

  • Risk Management:

    • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.

  • Documentation:

    • Ensure comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and best practices for future reference and training.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a software engineering manager or in a similar leadership role.

  • Strong technical background with AI Engineering, Data Engineering, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Python.

  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their integration into AI systems.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
