Sr. Sales Manager, CDD Brazil

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our team in Brazil. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong commercial skills and the ambition to rapidly grow a business that is currently building its foundations. This role within our Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) involves leading both Direct and Indirect sales (through distributors) in a high-priority market with significant growth potential.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets and business objectives as set by the Division and the Company.
  • Run the performance and development of the sales team.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Lead direct sales efforts and cultivate positive relationships with key customers.
  • Provide clear direction and support to the sales team, fostering a high-performance.
  • Work closely with distributors to develop and implement effective commercial strategies.
  • Consolidate and strengthen the distribution network to effectively cover Brazil's extensive geography.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess and lead performance.
  • Ensure channel partners enforce to our policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of channel partner activities and sales performance.
  • Observe market trends and competitor activities to find opportunities and threats.
  • Strengthen relationships with key partners, both internal and external, to drive the business forward.
  • Prepare and conduct regular reports and presentations on business/sales performance and market trends.

Business Planning:

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and financial planning requirements.
  • Provide valuable insights on market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to shape commercial strategies, product development, and marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate and plan for the resources needed to support both short-term and long-term business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (will also be considered; an MBA is a plus).
  • Experience in a senior sales management role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Strong commercial competence with a track record of driving business growth.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Capability to develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
  • Good understanding of the industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with global teams and to conduct regular presentations and business reviews with impact.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights, combined with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Understanding of financial metrics and the ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • Experience in forecasting sales and setting financial targets.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
