The Role

As a Senior Sales Relationship Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our presence across Brazilian dealers and accelerating the shift toward electronic trading in one of the world’s most dynamic markets. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative international team bringing innovative trading solutions to clients who are ready for what’s next. Travel to key clients is expected. 

How You'll Help Take Us There

  • Showcase our full suite of electronic trading capabilities, across emerging markets, BRL local government bonds, investment grade and high yield credit, euro bonds, and rates and index products, to clients ready to modernize their workflow.
  • Expand our footprint with Brazilian dealers by building new relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and helping clients transition from voice-based to electronic trading.
  • Grow trading volumes and wallet share by delivering meaningful, measurable impact to clients and the business.
  • Keep MarketAxess ahead of competitors by understanding market trends, client challenges, and the evolving electronic landscape.
  • Bring client feedback directly into our product evolution - help shape enhancements, usability improvements, and new functionality.
  • Partner closely with product management, sales associates, and analysts to exceed sales goals and ensure clients get the most from our platform.
  • Collaborate with our U.S. Marketing team to refine and localize compelling materials for the Brazilian market.
  • Represent MarketAxess at industry events, thought leadership forums, and key market gatherings.

What We’re Looking for  

  • 8+ years’ significant experience in a sales or trading capacity
  • Deep understanding of the Brazilian fixed income market
  • Existing relationship with dealers
  • Experience covering the buy side and has worked at a bank dealer desk or at a broker 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, extremely result oriented and tenacious
  • Passion for electronic markets and creating value add solutions for clients
  • Experience using AI to analyze trading and market data, surface client‑relevant insights, and inform strategic account growth
  • Willingness to travel to prospect and expand client relationships
  • Sharp communication skills and ability to simplify complex solutions across multiple audiences, functions/disciplines and/or locations
  • Strong collaborator working closely with a small team of senior sales representatives based in Sao Paulo and Miami
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese required, Spanish a plus

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is BRL 400,000 USD to BRL 600,000. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
