Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Senior Manager, Planning. The Senior Manager, Planning is responsible for leading site-level planning, scheduling, and materials management processes to ensure operational readiness, supply continuity, and successful execution of clinical packaging operations. This role provides strategic oversight of supply and demand planning, inventory management, and S&OP integration, while driving cross-functional alignment, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
The Role:
- Accountable for maintaining effective planning and scheduling processes to ensure that site operations are forecasted and positioned for successful execution.
- Maintain collaboration with the Catalent network regarding Supply and Demand review.
- Responsible for ensuring the purchasing of materials and supplies is managed efficiently to maintain appropriate inventory levels, preventing shortages or excessive overages.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to facilitate long-term planning and decision-making.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with operational teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand study requirements and timelines.
- Provide regular updates on supply chain status, manage performance metrics, and identify and drive solutions for any issues or concerns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness
- Responsible for interfacing with the clients, as needed, and managing internal communication to sustain and enhance Client relationships
- Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and standards, including current
- Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes.
- Provide training, mentoring and development of direct and indirectly reporting employees
The Candidate:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years of experience
- Supervisory and/or management experience required
- Supply Chain and Material Planning experience required
