As the Senior Manager of the Kubernetes Platform, you will lead the platform engineering team responsible for the backbone of our modern cloud infrastructure. You will drive the strategic vision for platform automation, resilience, and FinOps alignment across our large clusters. - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Platform and Kubernetes Engineers across global regions.
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Coupa Container Platform, ensuring alignment with broad engineering and business objectives.
- Drive the adoption of automated continuous platform optimization tools (like ScaleOps and Karpenter) to eliminate human toil and maximize efficiency.
- Partner closely with FinOps, Finance, and DevOps leadership to establish budgets, forecast growth, and champion sustainable cost-avoidance strategies.
- Oversee the operational health, security, and compliance of the enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure the platform meets the deployment, observability, and scaling needs of our developers.
What You Will Bring to Coupa
- Proven experience managing and scaling high-performing Platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in managing Kubernetes at an enterprise scale (EKS/GKE).
- Strategic understanding of intelligent resource automation, FinOps principles, and modern cloud-native cost management.
- Experience driving the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated CI/CD practices at an organizational level.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with finance and product teams to translate technical metrics into business value.
