Skillsoft is seeking an adaptive, innovative and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer who excels in dynamic enterprise environments, with a strong focus on end-user computing, device management, and modern workplace technologies. This individual will play a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing endpoint and virtual desktop solutions across our global workforce. The role requires a strong operational mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to continuously improve device management, patching, and application delivery processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own end-to-end device management across platforms using Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro, ensuring compliance, security, and performance standards are met.
  • Deliver and maintain endpoint configuration, policies, and controls within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Design, build, and improve application packaging and deployment pipelines for enterprise software distribution.
  • Execute and continuously improve patch management processes to ensure timely vulnerability remediation and system stability.
  • Support and enhance Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, ensuring availability, performance, and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint, application, and device-related incidents across global environments.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and service desk teams to align on standards, policies, and operational improvements.
  • Drive automation and process optimization across endpoint provisioning, software deployment, and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational runbooks to support consistent and scalable delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years of professional Infrastructure Engineering experience with a strong focus on end-user device management and modern workplace technologies with a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro for device management across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including endpoint security, identity, and device compliance.
  • Robust experience in application packaging and deployment using industry-standard tools and practices.
  • Solid understanding of patch management strategies, vulnerability management, and endpoint security controls.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining VDI environments (e.g. Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, or equivalent).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, endpoint configurations, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience working in global enterprise environments with distributed teams and users.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Bash) to streamline endpoint management tasks.
  • Exposure to endpoint analytics, monitoring, and reporting tools to drive data-led improvements.
  • Familiarity with zero-touch provisioning and modern device onboarding solutions (e.g. Autopilot, DEP).
  • Experience operating within ITIL-based service management environments and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
