Job Description
OVERVIEW
Individuals working as Software Engineer Ill are responsible for design, development, and testing of large complex systems.
A Software Engineer Ill is responsible for ensuring the productivity of an organization’s employees by designing, developing and testing systems that support the organization's goals. This position supports the Lead Software Engineer in the creation of standards for the organization. This position helps ensure the quality of solutions delivered to production through code reviews.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide mentoring to members of the software development team.
- Provide code reviews and feedback to team members solutions to ensure that they are being built to standards and in a manner that allows maximum flexibility for meeting future business needs.
- Leads complex projects with little to no oversight.
- Accurately communicates pertinent information, and ensures information in the organization agile project tracking tool accurately represents work required to complete project and task statuses remain up to date.
- Solves problems and makes decisions on a daily basis relative to Software development responsibilities.
- Works with Service Delivery Manager in coordination of Tier 3 support for resolving production issues.
- Design, Develop, Test software system to meet business needs in compliance with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Work effectively as a team member with other members of management.

Qualifications
- Either a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 4+ years of experience as a software engineer or 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Front-end software engineer with 5-8 years experience with front-end technologies and development
- Ideally Full-Stack skillset with an emphasis on front-end technologies/frameworks
- Have built or part of building complex front-end projects
- Public repo with examples would be a bonus
- Modern javascript framework experience (Vue, Angular, React)
- Responsive webapp experience that work across different devices (PC, tablet, mobile)
- Experience in accessibility standards/practices
- Optimized webapp performance and triaged with developer tools
- AWS Cloud experience or equivalent
- HTML, CSS and Javascript expertise
- Experience in unit testing and functional testing
- Experience with Git and version control and build tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
