This role is accountable to be able to understand various data sources e.g. Retailer, eCommerce, Activate and Vendor and link with internal NielsenIQ platform. This role requires to provide solutions to improve process quality, understand emerging technologies, standards and best practices in cross platform development. It also requires to demonstrate mastery in applying concepts, and methodologies to innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with Architectures/Technology, Platform Leader and Clients on designing standard Operational solution for various cloud/non-cloud technologies on ways of managing data
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and frameworks to maximize efficiency
- Handle large data sets with exposure to multiple formats and Tlog/non-Tlog data.
- Ability to extract, transform, load, and clean large data sets from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with managing, querying, and aggregating large data sets.
- Execute tasks on Ingestion platform
- Utilize SQL and Python for data processing
- Process data in the Ingestion engine
- Manage small to medium transformation projects independently
Qualifications- Minimum 6 years of experience in Big data related technologies
- Expertise in Databricks and Python is a must
- Strong foundational knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms
- Proven track record in solution design and profiling + performance optimization
- Good experience working with large data sets with hands-on technology skills using industry standard frameworks
- Open and quick to learn new technologies and tools
- Experience working on cloud native technologies (Snowflake, Azure, AWS etc..) and platforms would be needed
- Excellent problem solving, hands-on engineering skills and communication skills
- Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
