The Project Launch Engineering Team is a part of the Solutioning and Execution CoE within the Heavy-Duty New Unit Proposal and Project Engineering (PPE) organization.

Shape the Future of Energy: As a pivotal People Leader for Project Launch Engineering, you will lead a high-impact global team of approximately 15 engineers responsible for ensuring the seamless, de-risked early execution phase of critical energy projects. Promote culture of early risk and opportunity identification that may affect the project launch to ensure customer deliverables are met.
Technical & Operational Oversight:
Responsible for technical coordination with Engineering disciplines, Project Planning, and Sourcing during the Project Launch phase to ensure technical requirements and delivery cycles are transmitted into the engineering execution model.
Accountable for the integrated engineering schedule logic for the project and cross-discipline critical path alignment.
Responsible for the team’s demand/capacity model to support the Business planning cycle
Remove barriers so the team can effectively address complex technical problems during the project launch phase.
Champion consensus-building and effective communication of complex information across diverse stakeholders, influencing outcomes critical to project success.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
Advanced engineering experience in a relevant industry
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Experience with direct people leadership, managing engineering teams, ideally in a global environment.
Established project management skills.
Proven experience in talent development, coaching, and performance management
Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and foster a positive, high-energy environment within the team, driving enthusiasm for project success and continuous improvement.
Ability to manage global team
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
Familiar with Lean, has led/participated in Kaizen/VSM
Proficiency with key GE Vernova tools used across Heavy Duty New Units workstreams (eg. GTCC, Salesforce, etc.)
Knowledge of plant systems and equipment; knowledge of main equipment: Gas turbine, generator, steam turbine, HRSG

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
