Own software build and integration activities for embedded Linux and Android systems in distributed development environments. Manage repositories, branching, merging, releases, CI/CD pipelines, Yocto and BitBake builds, and automated integration tasks. Essential Responsibilities
- Experience in SCM (git, gerrit, stash, perforce) Build & Integration in CI/CD environment.
- Experience using GIT to support the workflow of software development projects on Windows and Linux Systems.
- Experience using GIT to manage multiple parallel development streams and release repositories by means of branching, staging, merging and tagging.
- Experience in Python/Perl, HTML, GNU make, Jenkins, Artifactory, and shell-scripting
- Basic understand of container / Dockers on embedded systems
- Experience in Yocto, Bitbake builds and exposure to Android build system
- Experience in Static Analysis Tools, Code Coverage Tools, Unit Test Tools, Open Source Compliance Tools and integration with Build systems.
- Understanding of Configuration Management.
- Experience in Jenkins for continuous integration
- Experience in automation of integration tasks with any scripting language (Shell/Python)
- Front line for resolving build and functional breakages (based on the build logs and auto-smoke test results).
- Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger's, compilers, etc.).
- Basic understanding of C/C++, Java in embedded development on Linux (Ubuntu) environment
- Experience developing and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environment.
- Strong communication skills and Good English skills (writing, documenting, conversation)

- Bachelors in Computer Engineering/science or Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of total experience
- Configuration Management tools (Perforce, Stash, GIT etc.).
- Assertiveness to deliver software builds on time.
- Testing skills of an embedded device are added advantage.
- Strong communication skills and Good English skills (writing, documenting, conversation)

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of total professional experience
- Six years of embedded or automotive build and integration experience in distributed development environments
- Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git, Gerrit, Stash, or Perforce
- Experience using Git on Windows and Linux systems
- Experience managing parallel development streams and release repositories through branching, staging, merging, rebasing, and tagging
- Experience with Jenkins or Hudson continuous integration, including more than two years of Jenkins/Hudson experience
- Experience with Python, Perl, shell, or batch scripting and automation of integration tasks, including more than two years of experience
- Experience with Yocto and BitBake build systems and adding packages to Yocto
- Exposure to Android build systems, Android build framework, manifests, AOSP, PDK delivery, patching, and releases
- Good understanding of C/C++ embedded development on Linux or Ubuntu
- Experience with static analysis, code coverage, unit testing, and open source compliance tools integrated with build systems
- Understanding of configuration management
- Experience developing and debugging software in real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, and multi-interface environments
- Working knowledge of software development tools, debuggers, and compilers
- Strong communication skills and good English writing, documentation, and conversation skills
