Job Description

Renesas is seeking a Senior Director / Head of AI Infrastructure Sales to lead global commercial strategy and execution for our AI infrastructure segment. This role will drive revenue growth across data center, edge AI, and intelligent infrastructure markets by building a scalable sales motion, strengthening strategic partnerships, and positioning Renesas as a key enabler of AI-driven systems.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of semiconductors, AI, and next-generation computing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Global Revenue Leadership

  • Own and deliver global revenue targets for AI-focused solutions, including embedded processors, connectivity, power management, and system-level offerings
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for AI infrastructure customers across data center, edge, and industrial segments
  • Drive pipeline development, strategic deal execution, and accurate forecasting

Strategic Account Development

  • Build and manage executive relationships with hyperscalers, AI platform companies, OEMs, and system integrators
  • Lead complex, high-value engagements involving co-development, long-term supply agreements, and ecosystem partnerships
  • Expand Renesas’ footprint in AI-relevant workloads, including edge AI, intelligent automation, and industrial AI

Team Leadership & Organizational Scale

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of global sales leaders, key account managers, and field application engineers
  • Establish a performance-driven, customer-centric culture with strong operational discipline
  • Partner with HR and executive leadership on talent strategy and leadership pipeline development

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to shape AI-focused product roadmaps and positioning
  • Provide voice-of-customer insights to guide investments in AI-enabled SoCs, connectivity, and edge computing platforms
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on customer commitments and delivery

Market Expansion & Strategy

  • Identify and prioritize growth areas across edge AI, industrial AI, smart infrastructure, and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Develop strategies to penetrate emerging AI ecosystems and verticals (e.g., smart manufacturing, energy, transport, and smart cities)
  • Represent Renesas at key industry forums, customer engagements, and executive briefings

Qualifications

Experience

  • 12+ years of sales leadership experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, or data center infrastructure
  • Proven track record of driving global revenue growth and scaling enterprise sales organizations
  • Experience managing complex, multi-year deals and strategic customer relationships
  • Strong background working with OEMs, hyperscalers, industrial customers, or AI ecosystem partners

Domain Expertise

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor technologies, including embedded processors, power, analog, and connectivity
  • Familiarity with AI/ML deployment—especially at the edge and in intelligent infrastructure systems
  • Knowledge of system-level architectures spanning hardware, software, and integration layers

Leadership & Executive Presence

  • Strategic thinker with ability to translate market trends into actionable business plans
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred

 

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $200,000 - $330,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
