Position Summary:
The primary mission of the Develop Engineer is efficiently develop required turbocharger(s) to meet customer’s needs, ensure it is in line with the product platforms, and the latest technologies available. The final turbocharger(s) must be economically and practically able to be put into production.
Job Responsibilities:
•Preparing matching proposal and design work requests, searching and procuring test hardware, supporting project scheduling and cost predicting.
•Create DVP&R plan according internal specification, working together with customer to finish the validation, and preparing the summary report.
• Provide technical support to meet customer’s needs in terms of turbocharger assembly/disassembly, engine testing, vehicle testing, installation, field trouble shooting, and engineering consultation.
• Take leading role in production releasing development turbocharger when it is accepted by customer.
• Provide all technical documents and data, e.g., Bill of Material, turbocharger outline drawing, etc., as well as test report(s) required for production release of the final development turbocharger.
• Actively communicate with associate departments as a team member to ensure smooth production of released turbocharger.
•Working together with SPE and NPI to close APQP lists.
• Participate business trips per LE’s instruction. Write trip report for each business trip.
• Provide technical support to functional dept. for assigned OEM’s in the manner of teamwork.
• Carry out instructions from direct supervisor in an effective and timely manner.
• Support customers as a back-up for immediate supervisor when he is absent in office.
•Submit Monthly Progress Report to supervisor.
• Actively involve in six-sigma plus programs and apply six-sigma plus principles to daily works to solve problems.
• Manage the project, include design review and customer connection and project status management.
Qualifications:
• University graduate with an engineering degree.
• 3~5 years relevant experience in automotive industry.
• Proficient user of 3D CAD for industrial design is an advantage, such as Catia, Pro/E or UG, Onshape is better. Strong knowledge about GD&T and its application, in automotive industry.
• Good plan and schedule management skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills in both mandarin and English.
• Technology exchange capabilities with customers, suppliers and management team.
• Good teamwork spirit.
• Good knowledge in engine calibration."
