TITLE: Sr. Database Administrator
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Manage and maintain all production and non-production databases in Oracle and perform Oracle database operations. Support the design, implementation and maintenance of production databases in compliance with application specifications and company policies, standards and procedures. Support Oracle database operations and monitoring through Enterprise Manager to resolve bugs and perform patches. Support vendor related tickets with Oracle Support. Join outage bridge calls to provide technical troubleshooting help. Support patching to be compliant with security requirements. Work on Cherwell tickets from customers. Attend meetings with various application teams and provide advanced technical solutions. Review MOPs and other procedures needed for the optimal functionality of our critical applications. Install monitoring systems utilizing Enterprise Manager. Analyze and troubleshoot databases or applications due to outages. Apply security patches to be compliant with industry standards.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5 years of experience: performing Oracle database operations; installing monitoring systems utilizing Enterprise Manager; performing Oracle support to resolve bugs and perform patches; analyzing and troubleshooting databases or applications due to outages; and applying security patches to be compliant with industry standards. *A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.
