Team Overview
The Platform Operations team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of TransUnion's strategic platforms. As OneTru adoption continues to expand across the enterprise, the team drives platform modernization initiatives that improve system availability, release quality, operational efficiency, and engineering productivity. The portfolio includes release management, operational readiness, platform observability, AIOps enablement, cloud operations, automation, resiliency engineering, security governance, and service reliability. The team's strategic priorities focus on protecting revenue and customer trust, reducing operational and regulatory risk, accelerating delivery, and establishing a scalable operational foundation for future growth. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
The Senior Consultant TPM is responsible for driving the strategy, execution, governance, and operational readiness of Platform Operations initiatives. This role owns both the product vision ("what/why") and program execution ("how/when") for platform capabilities, ensuring reliable, scalable, secure, and efficient platform services that support enterprise business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Roadmap Ownership
- Define and maintain Platform Operations roadmaps aligned to organizational priorities.
- Translate business goals into executable initiatives, epics, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive prioritization, investment decisions, and release planning across Platform Operations workstreams.
Program Delivery & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, architecture, security, quality, and operations teams.
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and critical path activities.
- Drive PI planning, milestone tracking, release readiness, and governance reviews.
- Ensure delivery commitments are measurable, predictable, and outcome-driven.
Platform Operations Leadership
Oversee initiatives related to: Release Management DevOps Enablement Blue/Green Deployments Operational Excellence Quality Engineering & Test Automation CI/CD Modernization Observability and Reliability Improvements
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary coordination point across Engineering Leaders, Architects, Product teams, Security, and Operations.
- Facilitate decision-making and escalation management.
- Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and business impact to senior leadership.
Governance & Operational Readiness
- Establish and enforce delivery standards, quality gates, and release controls.
- Ensure operational readiness through runbooks, monitoring, support processes, and service transition planning.
- Drive compliance with security, risk, and SDLC requirements.
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Develop KPI-driven reporting and executive dashboards.
- Measure outcomes through reliability, adoption, operational efficiency, delivery predictability, and cost optimization.
- Use data-driven insights to improve execution and platform performance.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, QA, release management, and platform engineering concepts.
- Proven experience leading large-scale cross-functional technology programs.
- Expertise in risk management, dependency management, and executive communication.
- Ability to influence without authority across distributed global teams.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
