Job Summary

The Senior BA leads the analysis and documentation of business requirements and processes, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills, advanced analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of business and technology integration.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and functional specifications
• Identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and team performance
• Support implementation of requirements to ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations in conjunction with the Business areas
• Collaborate with business units to monitor, research, triage, escalate, and report on internal/external issues, risks and requests regarding sensitive member information and product materials
• Develop/maintain dashboards and internal metrics/KPI reporting using tools like Sharepoint, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.
• Analyze performance data to generate insights and support decision-making
• Support implementation of requirements to ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations
• Analyze and document complex business processes, systems and workflows.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five):

  • Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements.
  • Analyze and document complex business processes and systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and finance to ensure alignment of business goals with technology solutions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior business analysts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation such as business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of software and vendors.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status and issues effectively.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and coordinate deployment activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis and process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

Certification and Licensure

Education

  • Required (minimum): Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Documentation, Health Care Administration or related field.

Experience

  • Required (minimum): 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Preferred: 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

Skill Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Advanced knowledge of business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Solid/effective verbal and written skills to effectively communicate at both detail and summary levels
  • Significant MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) experience (intermediate/advanced)
  • Sharepoint library/list/reporting/dashboard creation or similar content management experience strongly preferred (intermediate/advanced)
  • Demonstrated professional demeanor at all times
  • Champion of collaboration across various departments and cooperative work as a team member
  • Must be able to exercise patience with high level of diplomacy and ethical standards

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):

  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

Salary Range

$75,565.38 -$113,348.06

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization.  The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
