GLOBAL IT DELIVERY – BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE Senior Developer

As a Business Intelligence Senior Developer at Likewize, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across our global organization. Your mission will be to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that empower teams with actionable insights. Through innovative technology solutions and collaborative teamwork, you will shape our data-driven future. The role requires good knowledge of all data warehousing components, infrastructure, and their integration.

Responsibilities

• Business Intelligence Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Solution Design:
  • Lead the design of BI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and data accuracy.
  • Supervise the technical implementation of data warehouses and oversee hardware/software configuration.
  • Review and participate in testing of data and tool design, data extracts, networks, and hardware selections.
• Development:
  • Develop BI applications, dashboards, and reports using technologies like SQL, data warehouses, and visualization tools.
  • Design, develop, and implement integrated data warehousing solutions to address business requirements.
  • Assess and update existing hardware and software configurations of data warehousing solutions.
  • Ensure the development and documentation of business and technical metadata.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies and plans.
  • Translate project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports and applications.
• Data Governance:
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure completeness and compatibility of the technical infrastructure to support system performance, availability, and architecture requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and deliver actionable insights to various business units.
  • Work with the user community to understand business process challenges and identify solution opportunities within the Business Intelligence area.
  • Work with project leads and business users to understand requirements, conduct analysis, and recommend solution options.
  • Meet and collaborate with business users on requirements, objectives, and measures.
• Performance Optimization:
  • Continuously monitor and optimize BI solutions for performance and user experience.
• Emerging Technologies:
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and analytics to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Sell and evangelize the value of BI, analytics, and sound data management to executive sponsors of the BI program, business users, and IT Managers.
  • Provide support and expertise to the business community at Likewize to assist with better utilization of Business Intelligence tools and IT solutions for competitive advantage measures.
  • Deliver business intelligence solutions using Data Platform (SQL DW / ADLS / SQL DB / ADF and Power BI, MSBI).

Preferred Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL, and analytical tools.
• At least 5 years of experience in relational and star schema data modeling concepts.
• Proven experience in leading BI development teams with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in managing Business Intelligence tools/solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Power BI and MSBI in a data warehousing environment.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Solid experience in leading global teams of Data Engineers & Reporting Developers to deliver Data Warehousing solutions in Azure and AWS Platforms.
• Exposure to the design and implementation of ETL processes.
• Ability to perform detailed data analysis.
• Knowledge of any of the following would be valuable: Master Data Management, MDX queries, MS Visual Studio, Data Warehousing methodologies, prior working experience in Telecom (Billing and/or CRM) and Supply Chain systems.
