Role Summary 

The Senior Associate, Private Credit Platform Management is a high-impact individual contributor role supporting NLG Capital’s Private Credit investment teams and Transaction Committees through rigorous analysis, sharp communication, and disciplined coordination. The role transforms complex, and at times incomplete, information into precise, objective materials that support investment decision-making, governance, and senior leadership reporting. 

This position works across Direct Lending, Asset-Based Finance, and Structured Credit, serving as a connective resource that helps align people, information, and priorities. The Senior Associate coordinates recurring committee materials, tracks approvals and action items, supports platform initiatives, and helps maintain the cadence of the Private Credit platform’s key business and governance processes. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and sound judgment. Strong written and visual communication skills, advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, and fluency with modern AI tools are important for success in this role. Experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, management consulting, executive office support, investor relations, client service, or investment management is well suited to the position. 

This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days.  Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Distill complex, and at times incomplete, information into precise, objective, and decision-ready analysis that supports investment professionals, Transaction Committees, and senior leadership. 
  • Produce board-, executive-, and committee-level presentations and reporting, translating data into clear narratives, actionable insights, and high-quality visualizations. 
  • Conduct data analysis across the Private Credit platform, including Direct Lending, Asset-Based Finance, and Structured Credit, to support origination, portfolio management, risk monitoring, and strategic decision-making. 
  • Leverage advanced Excel, modern AI tools, and data visualization techniques to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of analytics, reporting, and business processes. 
  • Serve as a connective and enabling resource across the Private Credit platform by coordinating priorities, organizing teams, tracking deliverables, and driving execution across key strategic and operational initiatives. 
  • Serve as the analytics and coordination partner to the Private Credit Transaction Committee by coordinating meeting materials, maintaining minutes, tracking approvals, action items, and follow-up activities. 
  • Partner across investment, risk, finance, and operations teams to standardize recurring reporting, metrics, and processes. 
  • Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis, briefing materials, and special projects as priorities evolve. 
  • Drive continuous improvement across the Private Credit platform by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, governance, workflows, and the effective use of technology and AI. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5–9 years of professional experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, management consulting, executive office support, investment banking, investment management, investor relations, client service, or a related analytical/business operations role. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to distill complex information precisely and objectively for senior audiences. 
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking deliverables. 
  • Demonstrated fluency with modern AI tools and the ability to use them responsibly in a professional setting 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, management consulting, executive office, investor relations, or client service within an asset management or financial services environment. 
  • Experience in an insurance or regulated asset-owner environment. 
  • Working knowledge of private credit, including direct lending, asset-based finance, and structured credit. 
  • Experience supporting board, executive, or investment committee materials. 
  • Exposure to financial modeling, data visualization, or light programming. 
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Base Pay Range.  The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors.  The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.

Additional Compensation and Benefits. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life’s discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and National Life reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
