What You Will Do

You will be responsible for end‑to‑end presales engineering activities for Commercial projects, specifically covering ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Controls, Physical security system, ICCC, ICT, Fire Alarm, Public Address System, network Infrastructure, etc. Additionally, you will also be dealing with ANPR, Parking management and intrusion systems.

In this role, you will be supporting all techno‑commercial aspects of ELV systems within Commercial projects. You will take ownership of all technical considerations required to secure project wins and actively support the Estimation & HOTO process, ensuring seamless handover to D&E and Operations for booking approval.

How You Will Do It

• Conduct a detailed review of tender documents and inputs.
• Analyze project requirements and initiate kick‑off calls to align on scope, timelines, and expectations.
• Discussing sales and understanding the project/scope requirement during Gate 0 call.
• Prepare system designs on provided floor plans and derive the BOQ when not supplied.
• Identify potential technical or commercial risks, communicate them proactively to stakeholders, and support mitigation planning.
• Engage with OEMs and subcontractors to obtain accurate technical solutions and proposals.
• Evaluate OEM proposals and commercial offers by comparing them with historical data and benchmark costs from the SCM database.
• Prepare optimized techno‑commercial costing sheets, proposals, and compliance statements after completing cost analysis.
• Perform self–quality checks and present solutions to design council experts before submitting deliverables to the sales.
• Conduct second‑level quality checks for deliverables prepared by other peer Engineers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in SFDC and complete time sheets and mandatory training on schedule.
• Negotiate with OEMs and coordinate with internal Ops/Post‑Sales teams to secure competitive pricing.
• Participate actively in daily meetings/calls with Supervisor and other business stakeholders as applicable.
• Contribute to strategy discussions aimed at improving win rates.
• Align daily activities with organizational KPIs such as Quality, OTD, Win Rate, and Productivity.
• Interact directly with customers to gather requirements and present solutions professionally.

What We Look For

• BE degree in Electronics & Tele Communication.
• Strong knowledge of ELV & ICT Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems, Fire Alarm System, PAVA, Intercom Systems, Gate Barriers, ANPR, Parking system, Structured Cabling, Active & Passive Network etc.).
• Must have India projects' presales and estimation experience on various verticals (Commercial, Transportation, Health Care, Fit-outs, Industrial, Data Centers, etc.).
• Design know-how of the ELV & ICT Systems.
• Capable of understanding ELV Systems specifications and doing product selections along with the deviation/compliance statements.
• Capability to conduct customer workshops and technical training sessions.
• Must be able to work on complex costing sheets covering Material, Engineering, Operations, and Subcon costs.
• Skill in articulating offered solutions in a structured way through high-standard technical proposal documents.
• Must have a strong network with the 3rd party vendors in India.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate effective ownership in project and customer engagements.

Preferred

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Pre-Sales Design & Estimation.
• Work experience in all leading access control products (e.g., Software House, Kantech, HID, Suprema, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.)
• Work experience in all leading CCTV products (e.g., American Dynamics, Illustra, Milestone, Genetec, Hanwha, Axis, etc.)
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems products such as Notifier, Simplex, and EST (Edward).
• PAVA, Structured Cabling and Network infrastructure knowledge.
• Knowledge of ACAD, Visio, and Excel.
• Security and fire alarm systems' product certifications will be added advantage.
