SUMMARY OF THE ROLE 

The Senior Analyst, Insurance supports the design, placement, administration, and ongoing management of corporate and project-specific insurance programs. This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, Commercial, HSSE, Engineering, and external brokers and underwriters to ensure comprehensive and cost-effective risk transfer solutions.The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of complex insurance structures, particularly within energy, infrastructure, or large-scale construction environments, and thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the placement and renewal of corporate and project insurance programs, including but not limited to Property and Builder’s Risk, General Liability and Excess Liability, Marine and Cargo, Professional Liability, Environmental Liability, Directors & Officers (D&O), Cyber Liability
  • Coordinate underwriting submissions, exposure data collection, and broker deliverables to ensure accurate and timely placements.
  • Analyze policy terms, limits, retentions, and endorsements to confirm alignment with contractual and project requirements.
  • Partner with Legal and Commercial teams to review insurance provisions in EPC contracts, vendor agreements, joint venture agreements, and financing documents.
  • Support claims management activities, including documentation, carrier coordination, and internal reporting.
  • Track certificates of insurance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating risk retention strategies and total cost of risk.
  • Support internal reporting and presentations to executive leadership and external stakeholders, including lenders and investors.
  • Maintain insurance schedules, renewal calendars, and policy documentation.
  • Monitor market conditions and provide insight on emerging risks and coverage trends relevant to LNG and energy infrastructure.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, or broker advisory roles, preferably within energy, LNG, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of complex construction and operational insurance programs.
  • Experience interfacing with brokers, underwriters, and external advisors.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze insurance policies and contractual risk transfer provisions.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience supporting executive-level reporting preferred.
  • Professional designation (ARM, CPCU, or similar) preferred.

Work Environment 
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
