Honeywell is looking for an experienced Senior Advance Project Engineer for RMU COE, Bangalore, for leading the aftermarket programs from proposal definition through final delivery to customer and Program Management leadership oversight for critical HTS engaged programs. This job requires the individual to work with global stakeholders and manage overall program cost, schedule, technical risks and dependencies. In addition, he/she needs to lead the program to meet design goals, define prioritization of work packages, and drive overall program performance.
The successful candidate must be able to apply their experience and knowledge of Avionics installation design and Aircraft certification and strong project engineering/program management experience, to serve as the single point of accountability for engineering work scope and execution for aftermarket programs and driving milestone fidelity on HTS engaged programs.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- They will lead a team in the prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.
- Program Management leadership for HTS Engaged programs responsible for coordinating with other Program Managers/ SPEs to define and track key metrics to facilitate the PMRs for critical HTS driven programs.
- Establish Program Management MOS to drive milestone compliance
- Lead the proposal team starting with defining the Statement of Work (SOW) for the program. Coordinate with cross functional teams including Chief Engineers and Product leaders to review and validate the SOW.
- Lead the quotation estimation process for the defined SOW by applying strong estimation principles and processes.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to conduct efficient and effective stage gate reviews.
- Baseline the programs and execute the programs to the defined scope, cost and schedule.
- Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
- Provide technical direction, coaching and mentoring to project team members
- Own the change management and configuration management for the program.
- Leads Engineering team in defining and presenting customer requirements changes when necessary.
- Working knowledge of Project Management tools and software such as Microsoft Project.
- Must have good understanding and experience on applying sound program/project management practices aligned to managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Must have good communication skills to manage and work with various stakeholders across locations. Accountable to create a robust MOS and Communication plan.
- Must have strong hands-on experience of design and development of aerospace products of various design assurance levels
- Ensure to build strong MOS with internal (Project teams, Peers, Engineering COEs) and external stakeholders (offering managers, leadership, Cross SBGs) of RMU COE and Aero leadership (at HTS and global).
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed including the escalation of issues as necessary based on project work plans.
- Brings capability to drive Critical Thinking and Do Different Strategies
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
YOU MUST HAVE
- B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electric/Electronics/Computers/Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 8+ years of experience working various application areas supporting avionics functions
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience leading programs/projects in a dynamic multi-functional environment.
- Working experience and knowledge in Avionics products is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills
