Sr Advanced Project Engineer -Electronic Test (12–18 Years)

Job Summary

We are looking Sr Advanced Project Engineer with 12–18 years of experience in ATE systems and aerospace electronic test project execution. This role is responsible for leading complex test engineering programs involving ATE hardware/software design management, development oversight, documentation governance, verification, qualification support, deployment, MSA, electronic test strategy execution, and test process compliance for aerospace products. The ideal candidate should have strong technical depth, planning rigor, stakeholder management capability, and experience in driving multidisciplinary teams.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project engineering and execution for complex ATE development programs in aerospace electronic test.
  • Drive end-to-end management of ATE hardware/software design, development, integration, documentation, verification, deployment, and lifecycle support.
  • Own execution across functional test, structural test, ESS, qualification testing, production testing, development testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams spanning hardware, software, mechanical, quality, manufacturing, procurement, operations, and program management.
  • Define project milestones, execution plans, review gates, integration schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and resource coordination mechanisms.
  • Drive technical reviews, design reviews, readiness reviews, integration reviews, and issue closure forums.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and configuration-controlled engineering documentation for ATE systems and associated project deliverables.
  • Oversee verification, validation, qualification support, deployment readiness, and production release readiness of test systems.
  • Lead MSA readiness, test repeatability/correlation evaluation, calibration governance support, and measurement system performance assessment.
  • Contribute significantly to electronic test strategy definition to ensure test coverage, maintainability, scalability, and lifecycle suitability of aerospace products.
  • Drive adherence to test process compliance requirements, internal quality procedures, review governance, and customer-specific process expectations.
  • Mentor junior project engineers and guide team members on execution discipline, documentation quality, and review preparedness.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12–18 years of relevant experience in ATE, test systems engineering, or project engineering in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability sectors.
  • Strong experience in managing ATE hardware/software design and development projects.
  • Hands-on exposure to qualification, production, ESS, structural, functional, and development test environments.
  • Solid understanding of engineering lifecycle management, review gates, technical documentation, and controlled release practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving project closure.
  • Good understanding of integration, deployment, field readiness, measurement system performance, and process compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with complex or multi-station automated test platforms.
  • Familiarity with test executive frameworks, instrumentation architectures, switching systems, and data acquisition ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of MSA, GR&R, calibration governance, data integrity, and uncertainty management.
  • Exposure to aerospace compliance, traceability, configuration management, and customer review environments.
  • Experience in deployment planning, sustainment support, and customer interface management.
  • Ability to drive test optimization, platform standardization, process compliance maturity, and reuse strategies.
