JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Manager Network Operations, the Network Engineer, will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline our development and deployment processes while optimizing network performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support. Design, deploy, and maintain robust network architectures that support our applications and services.
- Implement and manage automation tools and frameworks to enhance network provisioning and configuration.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate networking requirements into the DevOps pipeline.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Support and Administer Cloud Azure Firewalls, Azure VPN Gateways and NVAs, Cusci Switches, Cisco Wireless, Citrix Netscaler ADC, Cisco SDWAN
- Support and Administer security access controls (Firewall Rules, NSGs, ACLs)
- Using Terraform to deploy Azure resources, assign RBAC, Network IAC
- Using Azure DevOps to deploy resources
- Deploying and Configuring Networks
- Support Administer and deploy Routing, especially in a Hybrid Cloud
- Managing Public and Private IP addresses
- Support and Administer Cloud SSE (Zscaler)
- Support All levels of network issues.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our network infrastructure.
- Key Skills - Routing (BGP, EIGRP) and Switching (Nexus, ACI) , load balancer (NetScaler, F5), Zscaler (ZPA, ZIA), SD WAN (Cisco Viptela), Firewall (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Asure firewall) and cloud network (Azure)
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
- 12+ years' experience in IT administration/engineering roles
- 1-3 years' experience in Azure administration/engineering
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or other related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Broad exposure to IT infrastructure and application landscape ideally with technical depth in Cloud platforms
- Experience in day-to-day operations in Azure Platform
- Customer service: experience working with users to understand and resolve issues
- Empathetic listening: the ability to convince the user to consider what he/she is experiencing
- Proven experience 5 years as a Network Engineer, preferably in a DevOps or similar environment.
- Strong proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Hands-on experience deploying IOC with Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and network tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, DevOps certifications) are a plus.
