What does it mean to be a Sr Account ExecutiveThe role of the Sr Account Executive involves mastering professional discipline within their business unit and across the company. Individuals in this role are typically assigned to the most strategic and complex accounts, often having a sales quota higher than most. They are responsible for creating and communicating tactical and strategic operational plans/initiatives, as well as forecasts aligned with the direction of the organization and divisional objectives.The Sr Account Executive applies a broad perspective to provide innovative solutions to a variety of complex challenges. They are skilled at devising novel and imaginative solutions that are thorough, practicable, and consistent with business objectives. Success in this role is measured by a proven and consistent track record.Knowledge and Skills

  • Possesses the knowledge and business acumen to operate effectively across the organization.
  • Maintains a high level of expertise in relevant technologies, emerging business/industry trends, competitive technical direction, and product direction.
  • Considered an expert in P&L.

  • Strong understanding of strategic selling principles, order management, project management, and operations

  • Proven success in growing and maintaining year-over-year sales results.
  • Skilled in negotiations, closing sales, coaching associates in high performance culture, and order management.
  • Effectively able to manage profit and loss concepts and forecasting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms to large and small audiences.
  • Involves a significant amount of travel, with a minimum of 50%, which may include international travel.

Experience and Education: 

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years previous strategic, outside sales, account management experience (preferably in a related industry) or six years of technology or distribution experience in a strategic, outside sales, account management capacity. 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,500.00 - $170,900.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
