Role Purpose
As Specialist - Solution Engineering at Accelya, you will deliver solution engineering for airline software customers, designing technical solutions, developing implementation approaches and providing expert technical support across pre-sales and delivery engagements.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Design technical solutions for airline software implementations, producing clear architecture diagrams, integration specifications and implementation approaches
• Lead technical discovery sessions with airline customers, gathering detailed requirements and translating them into well-structured solution designs
• Provide expert pre-sales technical support, contributing to RFP responses, technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities
• Use GitHub Copilot or equivalent and Claude or equivalent for solution design documentation, technical specifications and AI-assisted prototype development
• Conduct technical analysis of competitor solutions (leading airline technology providers, leading airline technology providers, leading airline technology providers, leading airline technology providers), identifying Accelya's technical differentiation
• Collaborate with implementation and product teams to ensure solution designs are technically sound and implementable within scope
• Develop technical delivery estimates and risk assessments for proposed airline software solutions
Required Experience & Skills
• 3–5 years of solution engineering or technical pre-sales experience
• Proven ability to design and document technical solutions for enterprise software implementations
• Good knowledge of airline technology or enterprise SaaS architecture
• Strong customer-facing technical communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Preferred Experience & Skills
• Knowledge of airline technology architecture, NDC standards and the technical approaches of key players in the competitive airline technology market
• Use of GitHub Copilot or equivalent and Claude or equivalent for AI-assisted technical design documentation, specification generation and prototype development
• Familiarity with IATA standards relevant to airline retailing, distribution and operations technology
• Experience with how AI is transforming solution engineering — including AI-generated architecture diagrams and intelligent competitive analysis tools
