Job Description:

The Role: 

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient, on-time, and high-quality manufacturing. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Logistics, Sales, BU and Production to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demand. 

In this role you will: 

Production Scheduling & Planning 

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on forecasts and sales orders 

  • Optimize production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources, including labor, machinery, and materials. 

  • Adjust production plans as needed to accommodate changes in demand, supply chain disruptions, or machine downtime. 

Inventory Management 

  • Monitor semi-finished and finished goods inventory levels to minimize waste and prevent stockouts. 

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials. 

  • Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock records. 

Cross-functional Coordination 

  • Partner closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow. 

  • Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule shipments and manage lead times. 

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on production status, delays, or changes. 

Data Analysis & Reporting 

  • Monitor and analyze kep metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. 

  • Generate regular reports on production efficiency, resource utilization, and output levels. 

  • Utilize data to recommend and implement process improvements that enhance productivity. 

Continuous Improvement & Compliance 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs. 

  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to implement innovative production planning strategies. 

 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements): Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management. 

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP)  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. 

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point) 

  • Language skill: English, Korean

Skills Required
