Summary
Responsible for working on single large scale, multiple projects or a work stream of projects. The Business Analysis function plays a key role during the onset of a project or program by helping define scope and create requirements by working closely with business partners to understand and translate needs. This role serves as a contact for IT during the design, development, and testing phase. Functional expertise is required.
Key BA Competency expectations for role:
End to end software development life cycle experience covering: -
Gathering requirements, process modelling and data analysis
Working with the design teams to ensure that the requirements are understood and that the delivered design fulfils all the requirements adequately
Supporting the technology teams through the build and unit test activities to ensure that all requirements are understood
Working with business teams to elicit input and support the planning and execution of user acceptance testing
Supporting the test team through pre-acceptance testing, system testing and system integration testing
Assisting with operation readiness, data migration, user testing and roll-out as necessary
BA skills covering:
Understand business strategy and collaborate with business and technology to facilitate the development project scope
Lead development of function and non-functional business requirements
Responsible for providing expertise, analysis and driving change for a variety of strategic transformational and operational initiatives
Look across corporate strategic initiatives to understand how big picture initiatives link together in a holistic roadmap
Provide oversight, direction, and management to assigned scrum team members with appropriate span of control
Review requirements for quality and completeness and hold team accountable to senior business analyst execution standards
Skill/ Domain Knowledge:
Experience of having worked in a Global Custody and/or Securities Servicing environment is key, Trade Settlement process knowledge is a must.
Experience & knowledge on SAFe Agile delivery framework.
Good knowledge and experience of working on tools like Micorsoft 365 tools, Visio, Miro and ADO and co-pilot
Strong communication skills, collaboration and stakeholder management
Experience of working in a large multiyear global transformation project
Ability to quickly interpret/decipher trends, identify early signs from available data and formulate effective strategies and actions in achieving program objectives.
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Having done the Business Analysis role for 15 years or more
Hands on experience in Product owner or Product Manager roles.
BA and Agile or SaFE Agile certifications are encouraged
Experience:
For internal applications - 24 months as Senior Consultant
Seasoned expert with extensive financial services experience and Trade Settlements process knowledge that has been developed over 15+ years and/or equivalent experience
Education
MBA/PGDM in any specialization
B.Com/BA/BE in any specialization
