Job Summary:

The Specialist, Learning Systems (CASI) will manage and maintain all learning systems to ensure business continuity and positive learner experience across the fleet and shoreside. This includes, but is not limited to daily system maintenance, troubleshooting, course setups, learner support, system audits and system upgrades. This role will be the systems administrator and main support for Carnival’s learning management systems (LMS) and integrated technologies.

Essential functions:

  • Learner Support:  Timely and accurately investigate, document, and resolve learner issues per Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and manage and maintain learner support inboxes and ticketing system. Escalate issues appropriately.
  • Quality Assurance:  Perform thorough quality assurance for the LMS environments and its integrated products/processes to provide a quality user experience. Verify, submit, and track product issues to ensure prompt resolution by our vendor and other support teams.  Perform routine LMS system and support process audits and checks, compile performance metrics, and proactively provide recommendations and solutions for process/system improvements.  Test, configure, maintain, perform, and document accurate QA for the LMS environment.
  • User Provisioning and Password Management:  Execute user account/access provisioning within the LMS environments, including but not limited to managing user profiles/roles and user accounts; and changing passwords.  Ensure users have correct access based on their role needs. 
  • Course Deployment Facilitation:  Assist with planning, scheduling, and communicating course deployments, system update, and integration activities in partnership with stakeholders, vendors, HR and IT Departments.  
  • Discrepancy Resolution:  Maintain accurate content and perform routine maintenance on courses and assets, including updates, enhancements. Resolve system discrepancies and ensure seamless integration of learner data (outbound and inbound) between HRIS and the LMS, ensuring that actions, approvals, and documentation adhere to established governance processes.
  • Process Documentation:  Adhere to and contribute to the development/enhancement of system and support process documentation.  
  • Handles special projects within the team as needed. 


Qualifications:

  • Preferably with Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 suite of applications including Teams, Proficient in SharePoint Online site administration and maintenance.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong project management, leadership, and teamwork. 
  • Must have demonstrated excellence in communication and diplomacy with all levels of staff and leadership. 
  • Ability to use and facilitate online communications, including chat, webinars and other technology-based communication media. Highly organized and detail oriented. 
  • Must have a proactive approach and demonstrate analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • With minimum 3 years of experience with implementing and managing learning technologies and systems required. Learner Support experience required. 
  • New LMS implementation experience is advantageous; understanding of L&D function required.
