We are currently looking for a Specialist 1 TCS to join our team in Smyrna, TN.
Technical Publication (Tech Pubs) Editors develop and publish Technical Bulletins (TSB/Campaign) under the guidance of engineering and subject matter experts. Editors interpret the information provided by the SME to create detailed instructions or information for an audience of automotive technicians. Editors use Microsoft and/or Adobe Software to create and/or edit the documentation. A Nissan-developed software program is then used to publish the information to ASIST.

Coordinate with engineers/technicians to document new or amend current repair procedures. Follow up with the engineer to ensure bulletin drafts meet their expectations. Coordinate stakeholder reviews of draft bulletins to obtain feedback, update, and obtain approval. Works Cross-Functionally, Cross-Culturally independently or within a team. Performs database maintenance and administrative duties as required. Write TechTalk articles.

The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
Job Knowledge and Skill:
Thorough understanding of automotive technology, particularly related to vehicle service and repair. Ability to translate engineering-level instruction into a technical written publication to be understood by the typical service technician.
Experience:
Five or more years of increasingly responsible technical writing/editorial experience, plus one or more years of directly related professional-level experience.
Education:
AA degree preferred. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars, and in-house classroom training.
Computer Skills:
Excellent PC skills and proficiency in using Word, Excel, Acrobat, and Photoshop. Aptitude to learn new computer systems to increase efficiency.
