The Spa Manager role:
We are looking for an Spa Manager with a strong Spa and Wellness background who will work closely with the various hotel departments in the overall success of guest satisfaction. This role will oversee the day to day operation of the Spa and all associated areas. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, the Spa Manager provides positive leadership and effectively manages Spa employees as well as ensuring compliance with all Four Seasons standards.
Job Functions:
- Manage and oversee all Spa areas (Spa, Fitness Center, Retail, Pool)
- Interview, train, coach, schedule, and conduct Performance Evaluation and disciplines the Spa staff when needed
- Maintain the operating criteria/Spa concepts utilizing Four Seasons standards and policies
- Work closely with other hotel departments to maintain the common vision of guest satisfaction
- Control the goods, inventory, storage, and all other materials/assets of the department
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and desirable work environment within the Spa for guests and employees
- Interact with guests, providing full knowledge and assistance with any of their needs or questions. Follow up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
- Utilize all computer systems
- Issue recommendations regarding annual operating budget, capital investment budget, operating planning and further periodic evaluations of financial performance, including reports on sales and operations with supporting statistical data
- Other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years Spa management experience
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Thorough knowledge of service, cost control, labor controls, and merchandising
- Excellent personal presentation, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills
- Strong management and development skills are essential
- Solid knowledge of Spa operations including systems
- Must have the proper legal documents to work in the United States.
