Radio development today is no longer just about hardware - it is increasingly driven by real-time software that directly impacts performance, reliability and innovation in radio products. Within RTE RU, we develop software that forms the core of Radio Units and defines how they behave in real network conditions.
We are looking for an SP Driver who takes clear end-to-end accountability for complex Solution Packages, while working in close collaboration with experienced engineers, architects and stakeholders across the organization. This role calls for someone who understands Radio Architecture, real-time software development and cross-site R&D collaboration, and who can turn technical complexity into robust, high-quality deliveries that serve both business and customer needs.
This position sits at a critical intersection of software, radio and product development, with a direct impact on how our Radio portfolio is built, matured and evolved over time. You will play a key role not only in delivering software, but also in shaping how we work together, learn from each other and continuously raise the bar for quality and execution in radio SW development.
What you will do
- Take end-to-end ownership of Solution Packages (SPs), driving secure, timely and high-quality deliveries in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and sites
- Lead SP development with full accountability for scope, priorities, commitments, risks and outcomes, ensuring shared understanding and alignment across stakeholders
- Make well-balanced technical and delivery decisions, including handling deviations, trade-offs and escalations, while actively seeking input and expertise where it adds value
- Ensure project milestone criteria (F-decisions) are fulfilled, with a clear definition of done, transparent prioritization and appropriate tool support
- Ensure delivered solutions meet both internal quality standards and customer expectations, with a focus on long-term maintainability and robustness
- Drive execution in line with Ericsson processes, while actively identifying and implementing improvements to ways of working based on lessons learned
- Align tightly with other SP Drivers and stakeholders to manage dependencies, changes and risks across the Radio development landscape
- At SP completion, ensure results are transparent, findings are addressed and quality is secured beyond formal closure
- Act as a role model for ownership, inclusive leadership, decisiveness and technical excellence in fast-moving development environments
You will bring
- A university degree or equivalent experience (MSc, BSc or similar)
- Experience working with software development processes and flows, including usage of Solution Packages
- Experience from R&D projects using the F-model or similar structured development models
- Experience with Radio systems or similar complex technical domains (experience with the BNEW Radio Portfolio is a plus)
- Background in software design, enabling you to engage deeply in technical discussions and challenge solutions constructively
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align different perspectives and drive decisions in complex setups
- A structured and result-oriented mindset, combining delivery focus with long-term quality thinking
- A proactive, independent working style, with the confidence to take ownership and the courage to address difficult topics when needed
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Curiosity and motivation to continuously improve products, processes and collaboration
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
What do we offer:
- Annual bonus depending on the achievement of the company's goals and results
- Possibility to take advantage of the reduction of tax-deductible costs for creative work
