Job Description
Job Purpose
This position reports to the Senior Sourcing Lead. This position will be responsible for directly interacting with various workgroups within the organization to gather requirements, promote compliance with defined sourcing processes, and analyze sourcing opportunities. This position is responsible for evaluating the strategic value of our vendors and managing vendor relationships in a manner that supports the long-term goals and objectives of the company.
Essential Functions
- Interface with various departments within the organization to gather requirements, promote compliance with defined sourcing processes, and analyze sourcing opportunities
- Interface with vendors to identify opportunities, deliver requirements, and negotiate agreements
- Measure performance, identify deficiencies, and develop gap closure initiatives
- Analyze the strategic value of individual vendor relationships
- Act as a liaison between the internal stakeholders and vendors
Education
- Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Project management certification preferred
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of sourcing work experience
- Project management skills/certification
- Quantitative analysis experience
- Consensus building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Strong interpersonal skills
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience performing financial and quantitative analysis
- Proven success working in a team environment
- Vendor relationship experience
- Experience in an Engineering, Telecommunications, or Information Technology environment desired
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task
- Data analytics experience desired
