Job Description:

The Purchasing Coordinator supports day‑to‑day purchasing operations by coordinating orders, maintaining supplier and item data, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production. This role executes established purchasing processes, partners with internal teams and suppliers, and contributes to efficient, compliant procurement activities.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare, process, and track purchase orders and requisitions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, pricing questions, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update supplier information, pricing, and product catalogs in purchasing and ERP systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels of key materials and proactively flag potential shortages or overages.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, and other internal partners to understand purchasing needs and support timely delivery.
  • Assist with routine supplier negotiations by gathering data, supporting pricing discussions, and documenting agreements within established guidelines.
  • Conduct basic market research to identify potential suppliers, alternative materials, and pricing trends.
  • Prepare and analyze routine purchasing reports to identify trends, opportunities, and improvement areas.
  • Support purchasing operations through administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, filing, and meeting coordination.
  • Follow food safety, quality, and compliance requirements related to purchasing activities.

What you will need to succeed

  • B-Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Electronics
  • 5-6 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, preferably in manufacturing or food environments.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools; experience with ERP or purchasing systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating within a team.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to task completion.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing principles and supply chain concepts.
