Sort Operations Associate

The Sort Operations Associate is responsible for ensuring that daily parcel exception cases are looked into and resolved with clients acknowledgement and ensuring that damaged parcels which can be repackaged and rectified move back into the normal operation flow to go out for delivery within an appropriate time frame.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing quality improvements on sort operations
• Prepare performance and productivity reports and data as required
• Assist with the planning of the warehouse layout for efficient sorting operations and movements within the warehouse and suggest areas to optimise or enhance process flows
• Communicate any process changes or updates to the ground warehouse staff and ensure adherence to SOPs
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure a smooth flow of inbound and outbound parcels
• Assist in the development and implementation of sort operational improvement plans and initiatives
• Identify and secure warehouse facilities that meet the specific requirements for handling and sorting frozen and chilled goods
• Evaluate and ensure warehouse infrastructure is equipped with the necessary refrigeration technology and safety systems
• Design and implement efficient sortation workflows tailored for cold chain operations, minimizing exposure times and maintaining product integrity
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling, storing, and transporting temperature-sensitive goods
• Ensure adherence to all relevant food safety and cold chain regulations, including local and international standards 
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with cold chain safety protocols
• Utilize advanced cold chain monitoring systems to track and record temperature data, ensuring products remain within safe temperature ranges throughout the process

Requirements

• Min. Diploma in any field
• 1 - 3 years of operations experience in supply chain/logistics industry preferable
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
• Good team player with ability to interact with all levels
• Good analytical skills with a positive attitude to take on challenges / responsibilities
• Self-motivated, proactive and results oriented
