Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect with a strong background in the life insurance and/or Mutual Funds industry to design and implement innovative platform solutions that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of life insurance products, mutual fund products, processes, and regulations, as well as a proven track record in platform architecture and project management.

The Platform Architect is responsible for the overall architecture and design of a specific technology platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of multiple applications and services. They focus on the scalability, reliability, performance, and security of the platform, as well as its ability to support various use cases and integrate with existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Architect for a specific technology platform, ensuring the overall strategy, design, and implementation align with business requirements.
  • Focus on the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform. 
  • Guide the adoption of new technologies and features within the platform.
  • Monitor platform health and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize platform usage.
• Establish and enforce platform standards and best practices. Also ensure compliance of the platform with industry standards and regulations. Work closely with the Enterprise Architect to define the platform's strategic direction to ensure the platform fits within the broader enterprise architecture. Provide guidance to Solution Designers on developing solutions that integrate with the platform.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development teams responsible for implementing and maintaining the platform, ie. design and develop scalable, secure, and highly available platform solutions that enhance the customer experience and streamline operations. Ensure that platform solutions designed by Solution Designers adhere to architectural standards and provide review and sign-off on platform-related designs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for the platform.
• Work and collaborate closely with the Principal especially on best practices/ standards, functionalities, capability building which includes official training/ enablement programs, support, patches, upgrades and product roadmap.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the life insurance and mutual fund sectors, and evaluate their potential impact on the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Platform Architect, preferably in the life insurance or mutual fund industry.
• Strong understanding of life insurance and mutual fund products, business processes, and regulatory environment.
• Proficiency in modern platform architecture patterns, cloud services, and software development practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
