We are now looking for a BSS Solution Architect with primary competence in Billing Solutions to lead complex customer engagements and transformation programs in the Monetization/BSS domain. You will own end-to-end solution design for Ericsson Billing and Digital Monetization Platform (DMP), covering convergent billing, invoicing, financial integration, customer data migration and operational readiness, working closely with customers and delivery organizations to secure high-quality, cost-efficient solutions.
What you will do:
- Lead E2E architecture for convergent billing, usage aggregation, rating and charging inputs, bill calculation, invoice generation and presentation, taxation, payments, accounts receivable and collections for B2C and B2B.
- Translate business, finance and marketing requirements into HLDs and LLDs covering Billing, Customer/Party Management, Product Catalog, Order Management, Charging, Payment Management and financial processes through customer acceptance.
- Define integrations between Billing/BSS and CRM, Customer/Party Management, Product Catalog, Order Management, Charging, Mediation, Core/IMS usage sources, Payment Gateways, Tax Engines, ERP/GL, Collections, DWH/BI, Data Lakes and Partner systems.
- Govern real-time, near-real-time and batch/file-based integrations using TM Forum Open APIs, REST/HTTP and JSON, API Gateways, event-driven messaging, SFTP and batch orchestration, including interface contracts, error handling, reconciliation and security.
- Lead migration architecture covering source assessment, data profiling, mapping, transformation, cleansing, ETL/ELT, mock migrations, delta loads, reconciliation, cutover, rollback, audit trails and post-migration validation.
- Design cloud-native architectures for capacity, availability, resilience, security, observability, batch-window performance, data retention and disaster recovery of billing-critical workloads.
- Lead customer workshops, billing-process walkthroughs, migration assessments, use-case elaboration, solution validation and cutover readiness reviews.
- Support presales with scope definition, BoQ/effort estimation, migration complexity assessment, proposals and SoW inputs; provide delivery leadership through integration testing, billing validation, migration rehearsals, cutover and acceptance; support technical troubleshooting of complex integration, billing and migration issues.
- Share billing, integration and migration best practices, mentor colleagues and support competence development.
- Lead or assist in the development and presentation of technical presentations and business case argumentations.
The skills you bring:
- Experience designing and documenting E2E BSS Billing solutions, including functional requirements, billing process models, data models, integration contracts, migration plans and NFRs for performance, resilience, security, auditability and recoverability, and operational procedures.
- Strong expertise in Billing Solutions, preferably Ericsson Billing and/or DMP, including recurring and usage-based billing, offers, discounts, allowances, proration, billing cycles, invoice presentation, adjustments, credits, disputes, dunning and lifecycle management.
- Solid understanding of B2C/B2B customer and account hierarchies, product and offer modelling, charging-to-billing flows, taxation, payments, accounts receivable, collections and financial reconciliation.
- Proven BSS/telecom data migration experience: source discovery, canonical data modelling, mapping, ETL/ELT, data quality, cleansing, reconciliation, mock loads, delta migration, cutover planning, rollback and audit trails.
- Strong integration experience with TM Forum SID, eTOM and Open APIs, REST/JSON, API security, event-driven messaging, Kafka or similar, SFTP and batch orchestration.
- Experience delivering BSS/Billing solutions on Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as OpenShift, Tanzu, EKS, AKS or GKE.
- Understanding of billing NFRs including bill-run performance, batch windows, metrics, logs, tracing, health checks, data retention, high availability and DR-ready topologies.
- Understanding of data protection, access control, encryption, segregation of duties, PCI-related considerations, vulnerability management and regulatory audit support.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, data migration or TM Forum certifications are an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 12 years in BSS/Telecom, including minimum 7 years as a BSS/Billing Solution Architect.
