Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale. Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams. Together, these teams will help Edwards operate more efficiently and accelerate innovation in support of our mission of advancing patient care.
The Solution Architect, Process Intelligence is the senior technical owner of Edwards Lifesciences’ enterprise Process Intelligence capability on the Celonis platform. This role has end‑to‑end technical accountability across both Celonis platform pillars: Process Mining (data integration, object‑centric data models, analytical assets, and execution solutions) and Celonis Process Management (Process Designer, Navigator, and the governed process repository). The architect defines the event log architecture, ERP data extraction strategy, pipeline reliability, platform administration, and the technical standards that enable scalable, accurate, and audit‑ready process insights. While Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) is the initial scope, the architecture is designed to extend across additional enterprise process domains including Procure‑to‑Pay, manufacturing operations, and Idea‑to‑Market. This role acts as the primary knowledge transfer recipient from the Celonis SI engagement (896 hours, ending September 2026) and serves as the India‑side technical leader for the BPM execution team. Upon SI handover, this role leads the maintenance, evolution, and scaling of the Celonis platform independently.
How you’ll make an impact:
Define and maintain the enterprise event log architecture, object‑centric data models (OCDM), Perspectives, and Knowledge Model that enable process mining, conformance analysis, variant detection, and KPI measurement across enterprise processes. Own the technical design decisions that determine how business objects, events, and relationships are modeled within the platform (25%).
Own the end‑to‑end data integration strategy from source ERP systems (Oracle JDE) into the Celonis platform, including connector configuration, extraction method selection (JDBC, REST, batch vs. real‑time), transformation scripts (PQL), data integration scheduling, and pipeline orchestration. Ensure stable, performant, and governed data flows that meet SLA requirements (20%).
Serve as the technical owner of the Celonis Process Management (CPM) environment, including Process Designer, Navigator, and the enterprise process repository. Manage platform administration including SSO configuration, user roles and permissions, Home Site configuration, and release cycle governance. Ensure the CPM environment is operationally ready for enterprise‑scale BPMN modeling and process catalog consumption (15%).
Serve as the primary technical counterpart to the Celonis SI team during the implementation engagement (May–September 2026). Lead knowledge transfer activities across all SOW phases (Connect, Data Ready, Analyze, Execute, Handover) and ensure internal capability is built to sustain, operate, and evolve the platform independently post‑engagement. Shadow SI consultants during OCDM configuration, Studio asset development, and Action Flow design (15%).
Establish and govern the data quality framework — including validation rules, reconciliation procedures, data scorecards, and root‑cause resolution workflows — to ensure mining outputs are accurate, consistent, and audit‑ready. Define acceptance criteria for event logs and analytical assets before publication to business stakeholders (10%).
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Process Intelligence Data Engineer (P3), Senior Analyst, Process Excellence (P3), and broader Pune BPM execution team. Define technical standards, conduct architecture reviews, establish reusable templates and patterns, and ensure alignment with Edwards enterprise IT governance and security requirements (10%).
Evaluate and recommend adoption paths for emerging Celonis capabilities (e.g., Process Sphere, Action Flows, AgentC, AI‑driven insights) aligned to Edwards’ process intelligence roadmap. Configure and validate execution solutions including Action Flows and Business Apps for prioritized value opportunities (5%).
What you’ll need (Required):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or analytics platform architecture roles.
Hands‑on experience with the Celonis platform, including data integration, PQL (Process Query Language), object‑centric data modeling, and Studio asset development.
Strong expertise in SQL, relational database design, and ERP data schemas (Oracle JDE, SAP, or equivalent).
Experience designing and operating ETL/ELT data pipelines at enterprise scale.
Demonstrated ability to define data governance frameworks, quality standards, and architectural documentation.
Experience with platform administration including SSO, user provisioning, and role‑based access control.
Ability to lead technical delivery in a global, matrixed organization and serve as a technical mentor for colleagues with less experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
High level of independence, sound judgment, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, greenfield environments.
What else we look for (Preferred):
Celonis certification(s) such as Celonis Data Engineer, Celonis Analyst, or Celonis Solution Architect.
Experience with Celonis Process Management (CPM/Symbio), including Process Designer and Navigator.
Experience implementing Celonis from greenfield (not just operating an existing deployment).
Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern data stack tooling.
Python or other scripting language proficiency for data automation, validation, and pipeline orchestration.
Experience operating in regulated industries (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals) requiring data integrity, audit readiness, and SOX compliance.
Familiarity with BPMN 2.0 process modeling standards and process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Experience with Action Flows, Business Apps, or similar execution/automation solutions within process mining platforms.

Edwards Lifesciences Insights
What We Do
Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW), is the global leader in patient-focused medical innovations for structural heart disease, as well as critical care and surgical monitoring. We thrive on discovery and expanding the boundaries of medical technology, serving patients in 100+ countries, with the help of our employees in areas including Clinical Affairs, Quality Engineering, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Sales & Marketing, corporate functions and more. Our roots date back to 1958 when Miles Lowell Edwards, a retired engineer with a background in hydraulics and fuel pump operations, set out to build the first artificial heart. Edwards believed the heart could be mechanized and was encouraged by Dr. Albert Starr to focus on developing an artificial heart valve. After just two years, the first Starr-Edwards mitral valve was developed and successfully placed in a patient. This innovation spawned Edwards Laboratories. Miles’ fascination with healing the heart and helping patients with heart disease stemmed from his own experience with rheumatic fever as a teenager and continues to fuel our patient-first culture today. Today, we are as passionate about providing innovative solutions for people fighting cardiovascular disease as we have ever been. It's our Credo. It takes integrity, collaboration, innovation, and focus. We are leaders in the design and manufacture of tissue replacement heart valves and repair products as well as advanced hemodynamic monitoring. We partner with physicians to innovate products designed to help patients live longer, healthier, and more productive lives. Our work is both rewarding and a privilege. The importance of what we do defines our approach. We work together to create an environment where ideas can flourish and we provide our people with the resources, expertise and support to bring those ideas to life.
