- Strategic Architecture & Ecosystem Vision:
- Execute and evolve the solution architectural vision and strategy for the Europe Transportation Ecosystem
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders (Business process experts, Product owners developers, operations, and external partners) to bring digital products from concept to reality within this ecosystem
- Hands-on Architecture & Delivery:
- Actively participate in solution discovery, translating complex business requirements into tangible, robust solution architectural designs for agentic solutions, communication platforms, and Control Tower
- In the initial 3-6 months, take a hands-on approach to data architecture, directly engaging in data modeling, mapping, and schema definition alongside the data team to progress the semantic layer
- Build, prototype, evolve and iterate on solution designs directly with product and project teams, ensuring active involvement in the development lifecycle rather than solely advisory
- Ensure robust data and semantic layer foundation for all European Transportation, supporting current and future program needs
- Architecture Stewardship & Enterprise Alignment:
- Develop and maintain critical architectural assets, including reference architectures, patterns, and guidelines for European Transportation Ecosystem
- Conduct rigorous architecture reviews for in-flight projects, ensuring compliance with established standards, security policies, and performance requirements
- Manage and curate all architecture artifacts (e.g., process flows, diagrams, structured data, frameworks, technology stacks) for European Transportation Ecosystem
- Actively participate in Architecture Review Boards and ARB Working Groups, presenting designs, defending architectural decisions, and collaborating on enterprise-wide architectural initiatives
- Knowledge Acceleration & Innovation:
- Define, document, and evangelize architectural best practices, design principles, and insights across development and product teams
- Actively contribute to and lead Communities of Practice, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development within the organization
- Stay at the forefront of architectural advancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends, particularly in areas relevant to agentic solutions, data platforms, and enterprise integration
- Identify and evaluate innovative opportunities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Architecture / IT industry experience.
- A working knowledge of cloud architectures (Azure), enterprise integration patterns, and DevOps practices is expected.
- Proven experience in leading solution design for generative technologies, including effort estimation, pricing, and business case presentations for clients, is essential.
- Deep knowledge of system, application, and infrastructure (network, cloud) security architecture.
- Knowledge of delta lake, database systems and query optimization.
- Experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills to influence others.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CICD process and toolset such as Sonarqube, Github and Azure DevOps
- Basic Project Management skills or experience working on big projects as team member.
- Agile framework experience and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Preferred
- Candidates must possess significant experience in data & automation solution architecture, with proven successes focused on Generative AI and/or Agentic AI solutions.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Semantic Model and LLMs
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure AI services, particularly Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Agent Service, Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Strong experience in opportunity identification for transformation, automation, and AI within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL.
- Understanding of data governance and data privacy principles.
- Prior knowledge of Power Platform is a significant value add.
- Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocols is highly desirable.
- Experience with rapid prototyping of Generative and Agentic AI solutions would be beneficial.
- A consulting background or prior experience in a client-facing technical specialist role would be advantageous.
